Hot Jan Winter!

Suddenly, the atmosphere has gotten all charged-up and presented Indians to 2 very interesting, enthralling conclaves of their 'known favourites' and some 'soon deserving-to-be-known-and-favourited' Authors and Artists from across the world -including Indians, of course - in the month of January!!!
First is the fifth volume of Jaipur Literature Festival (http://jaipurliteraturefestival.org/), co-directed by 'Paro' storyteller Namita Gokhale and 'Djinns of Delhi' whereabouts teller William Dalrymple. The duo seeded a shrub 5 years ago which has grown into a huge banyan tree and I personaly expect the festival this year to be sheerly 'unmanageable'. The show has ensembled together a huge team of highly motivated volunteers to co-ordinate the dozens of events packed together in a 5-day labyrinthe through their facebook page and seems to have braced themselves for the mammoth challenge. Fest is on from 20-24th Jan at Diggi Palace, Jaipur, one of the royal abodes. One would also get to see planned as well as impromptu visits from some of the gtreat celebrities from various industries with some live performances from best stuff from across the world! There! Go enjoy being Intelligent!!
The other is "India Art Fair" (http://www.indiaartfair.in/) in New Delhi from 25th to 29th Jan. Yes! Just before you recover from the night party hangover of JLF!! Neha Kirpal brings up the 4th edition with hordes of international participants, not ony for the elitest of Indian Art Connoissieurs but for commoners too! Entry to event is free and also to some of the galleries hosting allied shows whilst some auxilary events may just be out-of-reach 'by design' for most! Nonetheless, I personally feel, the available stuff would be too much to handle for the nouveau-riches of the nation who would want to learn and add to the rich heritahe of literature and art of the country, during the electric-charged 10 days of PURE ACTION!
C U THERE!
